Ansaldo STS is currently delivering advanced technologies to Australia’s resources sector. These include train management systems to support the automation of heavy haul railways and signalling and telecommunications systems that use satellite positioning technology to reduce infrastructure and maintenance requirements. These technologies will deliver direct improvements in safety, flexibility and operational efficiency.
The rapid and sustained growth of populations in and around Australia’s capital cities and major regional centres has led to a steady increase in the number of capacity enhancement and expansion projects in the passenger rail sector.
